I truly believe that a straighter smile builds confidence. As my patients' smiles develop and their facial appearance changes, I so often see a dramatic improvement in self-esteem. This, to me, is my gift to my patient and is the source of my passion for being an orthodontist!
Dr. Michelle Couto grew up in Kitimat, BC, and attained her DMD from Nova Southeastern University, before graduating from Loma Linda University with her MS in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Couto strives to keep abreast of the latest proven orthodontics procedures by regularly attending the Invisalign Summit, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, and American/Canadian Association of Orthodontics Conventions. She is also an active member of the Northwest Dental Study Club.
Dr. Couto has been practicing as an orthodontist for over 10 years, having treated many patients. She formerly practiced at Coquitlam Family Orthodontics and Ridge Meadows Orthodontics.
Dr. Couto truly enjoys the daily interactions with her patients, as well as the puzzles and challenges involved with unraveling complex crowding, space, and bite problem cases, with braces and Invisalign.
